About the Artist
Hi! My name is AzuraVai, or Azura for short (or Brooklyn Kocsis to the real world!). I am a self taught artist who's been painting for as long as I can remember; first with acrylics, now with watercolor and gouache.
Recently graduated from college in Ontario, Canada for Wildlife Ecology, I am currently persuing a different degree in the same field in New Brunswick, Canada.
Creating art is a lifelong passion that always pulls me back time and time again. Opening this shop has been an exciting way to share physical pieces with those who identify with my passions! My current subject of fascination is ornithology! I love birds and how to visually ID them, and I love translating that to painting them as accurately as possible. A dream is to be good enough to submit them as scientific illusrations!
